Bachelor in English Studies

In modern-day international society, English plays an ever-greater role as the language of international discourse. The aim of the Department of English Studies is to help to develop truly powerful, internationally-minded citizens who have solid English proficiency and wide-ranging knowledge.

In required English classes, students acquire well-balanced speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Additionally, students choose their courses depending on their interests and study them in depth in small classes, allowing them to acquire specialized knowledge in language, literature, culture, and society. At the same time, cross-cultural understanding is deepened and developed. And in small, group seminars, professors help students to develop skills that will be needed in their fields of expertise, as well as in the writing of their theses, and later on, in the making of professional presentations.
