Introduction
Social workers are professional experts who provide help for a person, family, or community; supporting them to improve their quality of life. This course provides a program of studies giving you the skills and competencies necessary for a career in a variety of social care roles working with children, adults, and families. Supervision has been integrated into social work studies in both bachelor's and master's programs for many years. It helps future practitioners to better understand the complexity of social work and understand what levels of professional support exist.
Social work is unique for the internships carried out by professionals and the supervision they bring. None more so than those within these two unique study modules: Dolphin Assisted Therapy, and Existential Therapy in Social Work.
This is the only study program of its type in Lithuania, where the study duration does not exceed 3,5 yrs.
The main courses in the curriculum include Practice in NGOs; Introductory Practice in Health Care System; Practice in Education, Health Care, and Probation Institutions; Practice in Health Care Institutions; and Independent Work in Practice Placements (with counseling).

Knowledge and Its Application
For graduates of Social Work in a Community:
- A1 Know theories of social, humanitarian, and other sciences, can critically, and systemically analyze them and apply them in social work practice and research, and can utilize said theories to evaluate social reality.
- A2 Acquire and practically apply knowledge of the development of the social work profession, national and international social policy, interprofessional cooperation, principles of ethics, human rights and social justice, social development, and welfare of society.
- A3 Can analyze and apply in practice and research the newest knowledge of social work theory, methods, social problems, and their manifestation in multicultural communities.
For graduates of Social Work in Health Care:
