The mission of the Keeran School of Education is to enhance the preparation of professional educators who embody Christ, who are enlivened with ethical character, and who strive for life-long academic excellence, spiritual integrity, and servant leadership.

Welcome to the Keeran School of Education at Kentucky Christian University. As you visit our pages we hope that you will sense the dedication and purpose of our faculty, staff, and students. Most teachers were inspired by a mentor or great example of an educator. We want our students to be that kind of teacher. There is rigorous preparation for the changing tasks of education and our students are highly sought after in the communities around us. To accomplish this readiness our student have extensive practice teaching, assessment design, and professional development. It is our mission to develop good teachers who have a heart for children and a desire to help every child grow.

Keeran School of Education graduates will: understand how learners grow and develop; understand individual differences; be able to work with others to create environments that support individual and collaborative learning; understand the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline(s); create learning experiences that make the discipline accessible and meaningful; understand how to connect concepts and use differing perspectives; understand and use multiple methods of assessment; be able to plan instruction that supports every student; understand and use a variety of instructional strategies; and, engage in ongoing professional learning; seek appropriate leadership roles.
