The specified specialization prepares:

theater critics;

theater researchers: theater historians and theorists;

editors;

teachers of theatrical disciplines for lyceums, colleges, universities.

Specialists are trained to work in theaters, educational institutions, editorial offices, and publishing houses, on radio and television, in research institutions, in cultural authorities. The applicant must know the history of the world and Kazakh theatrical art, show independence of judgments about the modern theatrical process, and analyze plays and performances. Must have a high general educational and intellectual level and have good knowledge in literature, theater, and art. Must be able to use a computer, know the state language.
