Introduction
International Business is a program that reflects the market needs; is based on a module principle that ensures the interdisciplinarity of studies, flexible learning environment, enhancing the role of students in the study process, encouraging their independence, activity, responsibility for the study results, integrating practical and self-study assignments; doing a one-semester internship in business companies. The program is orientated towards problem teaching, formation of students’ systemic approach, and socially responsible and ethical business. Students of the program will study in a higher school or do a one-semester internship in a business company abroad.
The aim of the International Business study program is to teach future international business managers to analyze the international business environment, communicate and cooperate with foreign partners and customers, and apply business management principles and provisions of international business regulations by planning and organizing international business activities in the company or its department. Therefore, the International Business program should be chosen by self-assertive, result-oriented, communicative people who like working in teams, are responsible, confident, and are not afraid of challenges and risks. Moreover, this program is aimed at creative people who are not familiar with words, such as “can’t” or “impossible”.
Specializations
E-Business Organization – students will learn to organize and manage e-business. The study program focuses on the use and application of modern IT tools for business creation, expansion, and development. Such specialists are in high demand in the labor market. It is very important to know and follow legal regulations in e-business, therefore, students will also study the legal environment of e-business.
Study subjects: E-services, E-marketing, E-business Legal Environment, Business Projects, E-business Platforms and Tools, Management of Social Accounts and Websites, Investment and Risk Management, Business Ethics.
International Marketing Management is aimed at creative, communicative, and organized people. Success in foreign markets is guaranteed not only by the high quality of goods or services, fast and cheap service but also by effective marketing. While studying the subjects of this specialization, students will find answers to questions on how to find the most favorable foreign market, correctly choose the form and time of entry, use their competitive advantage, respond quickly to changing trade conditions, etc.

Assessment
A ten-point cumulative assessment system for assessing knowledge and skills is used. Learning outcomes are assessed throughout the semester. Assessment methods include translations, tests, individual and group tasks, presentations, projects, presentations of practical and self-study tasks, etc.
The final mark consists of the assessment of course assignments and the final examination.
Your lecturers
Lecturers are business practitioners. Highly qualified, experienced lecturers closely monitor their students’ development using inspiring teaching methods. Study materials are related to current events, real-world problems, and new academic findings provided by KUAS research groups. Moreover, businesspeople are invited to lectures to share the most recent, relevant information and their personal experience.
Modern teaching methods include visits to different business companies and presentations delivered by guest speakers. These methods provide our students with hands-on opportunities for learning through exposure to diverse working methods, and interaction with unfamiliar industries and organizational structures.
Guest lecturers from foreign universities contribute to the variety of skills and knowledge at KUAS. Students can gain experience in their study program from guest lecturers who arrive from the Czech Republic, Spain, Poland, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, the Netherlands, etc.
Lecturers work in the modules together with lecturers from foreign education institutions where similar study programs are implemented.
Learning process
Students will study in a modular study program which provides a flexible learning environment, and promotes student autonomy.
Student-oriented self-study is based on tasks and group activities that encourage problematic and critical thinking. An educational environment is created to enable students to self-control their study process, reflect on their activities and encourage creativity and innovation. The program strives for students’ active participation in the study process. Discussions and dialogues between the teacher and the student are always encouraged in the lectures.

- Will be able to perceive their own moral responsibility, perform in accordance with the company’s mission statement and provide reasoned business-related problem solutions, and will be able to demonstrate independence and creativity by making managerial decisions, and implementing and developing business innovations.

Career Opportunities
Studies based on practice
In the International Business course, you will not only learn theory, but you will also be able to apply it in practice due to collaboration with different businesses. Students do their internships in different types of companies: media; communication and information departments of the centers providing cultural and social services or in manufacturing companies.
Students do their professional internships in their 4th or 6th semesters. They are invited to do an internship in the largest Lithuanian business companies.
Future career
The graduates will be competitive in the international labor market; will have the skills and practical experience necessary to communicate with business partners and customers; will be able to establish and develop their own business; will be prepared for working in the departments of export, supply, customer service, marketing, project management, quality, e-commerce, international relations and communication, product, and international business development.
Access to further study
The graduates are entitled to a credit transfer system for entering level one university study programs, they can choose Master's programs. The continuation of studies is possible in the study programs in the field of tourism and leisure, management, and business in Lithuanian and/or foreign universities.
