Kalayaan College (KC) is a private institution of higher learning founded in 2000 by University of the Philippines (UP) professors committed to quality higher education for Filipino students and interested students overseas. KC opened in June 2001 at its original site in Riverbanks, Marikina. In May 2009, KC moved to its present location at Manga Road corner Aurora Boulevard in Quezon City.

In establishing Kalayaan College, we were inspired by a vision to be a leading center of learning, educating our share of tomorrow’s professionals and leaders who are committed to the idea of building a just and humane society, fulfilling the material and spiritual needs of our nation, and contributing to global peace and human development. Our mission is to nurture our students the needed values, knowledge, skills, and commitments in a caring community of learners enjoying academic freedom and in touch with the larger community and the world.
