Skills acquired by European Studies graduates

Professional skills

• applying for EU funds and managing EU funded projects;
• European Studies students can complete optional courses and receive certificates of professional qualifications from the European Union Diplomatic Academy, the European Union Competition Law Academy, the Academy of European Union Funds.

Communication skills

• our graduates possess good mediation and negotiation skills, they know the art of public speaking, they acquire effective presentation skills.

Language skills

• graduates can effectively communicate in two foreign languages within the field of law and business. The program puts a heavy emphasis on language learning, encouraging both written and spoken fluency. Apart from obligatory English, students will also learn a second European language. In addition, many of the classes offered at the Faculty and University are taught in languages other than Polish.

Digital skills

• graduates can effectively make use of EU databases (EUR-Lex) and the data from Eurostat.

Analytical skills

• good understanding of political ideas, functioning EU institutions and political systems that make up modern Europe;
• deep knowledge of European history and culture and the ability to understand and analyze the social, political and economic processes that occur in the European Union.

Skills for self-employment

• our graduates know how to apply for EU funds and how to manage EU-funded projects. They understand the general, legal and formal requirements for self-employment.
