JPCatholic's patron is Pope Saint John Paul II, and we were formed as a direct response to his call for a New Evangelization. John Paul II was an artist himself, and understood the power of beauty to impact culture for Christ.

Graphic design is more than just artwork. It’s a powerful way to shape a consumer’s experience of a brand by communicating its underlying values and story.

JPCatholic’s Illustration program forms artists to create imagery that brings powerful ideas and narratives to life for a variety of professional pursuits. Using both traditional and digital media techniques, students will learn to develop and refine methods of conceptualization and image-making while acquiring an effective use of visual language.

In today’s postchristian society, John Paul II’s call for a new evangelization takes on even greater urgency. Christianity is no longer part of our ambient culture, and Catholics have the mission to find new and compelling ways of "re-proposing” the Gospel to Catholics who are lukewarm to its message, and a culture that has outright rejected it.
