Introduction
Undergraduate (Bachelor's Degree) program in Software Engineering (in English) (First Cycle in QF-EHEA and 6th level in TYYÇ ) is an academically-oriented program giving access to degree and non-degree research program and professional practice demanding high levels of knowledge and skills.
Mission
The mission of software engineering program is to educate software engineers who can carry out studies by establishing cooperation in domestic and abroad and thus contribute to the development of the country and the society as well as to be able to produce effective solutions by using engineering approaches in the software life cycle, with ethical principles and life.

Purpose
- Ability to design appropriate solutions to integrate ethical, social, legal, and economic interests while using engineering approaches.

- Ability to work effectively in the software development environment, to lead when necessary, and to communicate well with users, that is, to have project management skills.

Program Outcome
Upon successful completion of the program designed in accordance with the aims and objectives of the program and the program learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and competencies given below, students/learners will be able to:
Knowledge
- Adequate knowledge in mathematics, physical sciences, and the engineering subjects of individual branches; the ability to implement theoretical and practical knowledge in the respective areas to modeling and solving engineering problems.
- Ability to identify, define, formulate and solve complex engineering problems; ability to select and implement the appropriate analysis and modeling methods in this respect.
- Ability to design and conduct experiments for analyzing engineering problems or research subjects specific to the discipline, to collect data, to analyze and interpret the results.
- Ability to use, choose and develop modern techniques and means required for engineering applications; ability to use information technologies effectively.
- Ability to design a complex system, process, device, or product to meet specific requirements under realistic restrictions and conditions; ability to implement the modern design methods for this purpose.
- Information about the effects of engineering applications on health, environment, and safety in terms of universal and social aspects and information about the problems of the era; awareness about the legal results of engineering solutions.
Skills
- Ability to communicate efficiently both in oral and written ways in Turkish; knowledge of at least one foreign language; ability to effectively prepare reports and understand written reports, prepare design and production reports, effective presentation, giving and receiving clear and understandable instructions.
- Acting in line with ethical principles, sense of professional and ethical responsibility; knowledge on the standards of engineering applications.
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams and individual works.
- Knowledge of applications in business life like project management, risk management, and change management; awareness about entrepreneurship, innovativeness, and sustainable development.
- Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; ability to reach information, follow the latest developments in science and technology; ability to ensure self-renewal perpetually.
