Introduction
The Bachelor’s Degree Program at the Department of Computer Engineering is a 240 ECTS credits, 4-year program composed of eight semesters, each of which has a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS equals 25.5 hours of student workload per semester.
Established in 2007, the undergraduate program of the Department of Computer Engineering aims at educating technically competent and socially conscious engineers who will design and implement information and computing systems mandated by the ever-growing and diversified automation needs of contemporary societies. The department offers a balanced undergraduate program that covers computer software, computer hardware, and computer networks with a strong background in mathematics as well as non-departmental technical/non-technical and compulsory/elective courses.
Aims
- Our graduates; Using professional knowledge and skills as a focus on producing creative solutions to ethical rules; Computer engineer, software developer, business analysts, IT engineer, software test engineer, data analysis specialists, web developer etc., meet the needs of the age in various business fields.
- We have graduated technically competent graduates who adopt technological changes rapidly; They can serve as successful business people in the field of computer engineering and sciences as well as engineers who can make an academic career when necessary.

Program Outcome
Upon successful completion of the program designed in accordance with the aims and objectives of the program and the program learning outcomes in terms of knowledge, skills, and competencies given below, students/learners will be able to:
Knowledge
- Adequate knowledge in mathematics, physical sciences, and the computer engineering subjects of individual branches; the ability to implement theoretical and practical knowledge in the respective areas to modeling and solving computer engineering problems.
- Ability to reflect the developments in Information and Communication Technologies to the applications of Information Technology.
Skills
- Ability to identify, define, formulate and solve complex computer engineering problems; ability to select and implement the appropriate analysis and modeling methods in this respect.
- Ability to design experiments for analyzing computer engineering problems, to conduct experiments, to collect data, to analyze and interpret the results.
- Ability to design a complex informatics system, process, device, or product to meet specific requirements under realistic restrictions and conditions; ability to implement the modern design methods for this purpose.
- Ability to use, choose and develop modern techniques and means required for computer engineering applications; ability to use information technologies effectively.

Career Opportunities
Students who are successful at the end of the Undergraduate Education obtain the “Computer Engineering” degree. Department alumni can have jobs such as; system analyzer, application programmer, computing center director, founder and manager engineer, director of the database, computerized design of industrial systems research and development. Also, they can become academic personnel at universities, and contribute to education and training, as well as to conduct scientific studies and research. Computer engineers can also work in the following positions: Network Designers, Computer Security Manager, Data Processing Center Manager, System Analyst, System Assessment, Systems Programmer, System Designer, Standards and Methods Checker, End User Support Specialist, Application Programmer, and Data Base Manager.
