Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology

Psychology plays an ever more important role in society. This is a time of great transformation in which regular pathologies coexist with emerging problems, and the profession of a psychologist is still far from being consolidated. The fifth labor insertion survey undertaken by the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) in 2014, demonstrates that the employability rate of holders of degrees in Psychology is 77% for jobs in different fields. In Spain, jobs based on psychological, emotional, educational, and work-related problems are predicted to grow as these issues represent between 33% and 53% of the consultations Spanish GPs receive.

Through the Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, which is general in nature and taught over four years, you will be able to develop the scientific knowledge that is necessary to understand, interpret, analyze and explain human behavior. It will also provide you with the skills and abilities to evaluate and intervene in the individual and social field throughout life, with the aim of promoting and improving good mental health and quality of life.

This is a profession that includes a wide range of fields of application, some of which are still under development: these include: psychology in the fields of Health, Education, Business, Advertising and Marketing, Law and Forensics, Road Safety, New Addictions, Cyberbullying, Intervention in Catastrophes and Emergencies. You will also learn to teach classes suitable for children, teachers and families, in schools, you’ll be able to undertake rigorous interventions and treatments with couples and families and will add value to the humanization of companies.
