Introduction
This program is intended to help you learn the best-organized theories and practices of wooden architecture at the level of university education. This curriculum enables you to build wooden structures using traditional methods on your own by repeating the practical exercises of construction. The curriculum is appropriate for those who aspire to become general carpenters or special shrine and temple carpenters and those who hope to be involved in timber construction projects such as the preservation of cultural heritage.
Our curriculum includes many subjects, such as Wooden Structure Framework Methods, Conservation and Restoration, Structural Design of Timber Structures, Wooden Structures, Integration and Practices, History of Japanese Architecture, and Timber Structure and Practices.
