Computer science is a wide field, which has been grown rapidly during the last decades. It covers areas related to computer systems and software development, IT management, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies.

Ilia University’s Computer Science program has four major focus areas:

Computer science is a wide field, which has been grown rapidly during the last decades. It covers areas related to computer systems and software development, IT management, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. The goal of the program is to give students a wide range of knowledge in the most demanding fields of Computer Science. Students will acquire hands-on skills and practical knowledge to continue their careers in many different, demanding and interesting directions of Computer Science.

Admissions Option 2

Program Duration is 8 Semesters (240 credits) and the graduates have the opportunity to acquire minor specialization along with the core one. The structure of the program consists of a general module - 60 credits, core specialization (major) - 120 credits, minor - 60 credits.

Curriculum

The goal of the program is to give students a wide range of knowledge in the most demanding fields of Computer Science. Students will acquire hands-on skills and practical knowledge to continue their careers in many different, demanding and interesting directions of Computer Science.

Newly opened T building at Ilia State University is also equipped with the latest equipment for testing in computer and electrical engineering, including a senior design lab where students can assemble different components of electrical and computer hardware systems and apply different types of software in a creative environment in one of the most modern buildings in Georgia.
