Artificial intelligence is a new technological science that studies and develops theories, methods, technologies and application systems used to simulate, extend and expand human intelligence. Artificial intelligence technology has already involved industry, agriculture, commerce, finance, national defense, education, culture and health, etc. Artificial intelligence is an important driving force and strategic technology for the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation. The major of artificial intelligence is to study the use of computers to simulate certain human thinking processes and intelligent behaviors (such as learning, reasoning, thinking, planning, etc.). It mainly includes the principles of computer realization of intelligence and the manufacture of computers similar to human brain intelligence. This major involves computer science and technology, information theory, cybernetics, automation, bionics, psychology, mathematical logic, linguistics, medicine, and philosophy. Artificial Intelligence in our school is a new type of applied undergraduate major established by integrating the talents, platforms, academics, and technology accumulation of our school in the past 19 years in artificial intelligence. It is the first batch of artificial intelligence majors approved by the Ministry of Education.

This major cultivates high ideological and ethical accomplishments, scientific and cultural qualities and innovative spirit, and systematically masters the basic theories of artificial intelligence, machine learning, machine perception and pattern recognition, knowledge representation and processing, natural language understanding, intelligent systems and applications, and cognition Advanced engineering and technical personnel who can engage in scientific research, application development, service, management and comprehensive application in the field of artificial intelligence and related industries with technologies and applications in neuroscience.
