Introduction
The Department of Business Administration was one of the earliest academic departments of HKSYU and was founded in 1971. Over the years, our graduates have gained multifaceted business and professional knowledge and developed creativity and innovative ability. They have mostly become professionals and are working in different business sectors and extensive fields, like business management, marketing, banking, and finance in international corporations, listed companies, SMEs, and their own companies. Some graduates have pursued further local and overseas postgraduate studies. Our programs turn out to be their stepping stones for future career development.
To meet the demands of the ever-changing business environment, the department continues to optimize and adjust our program’s structure and content by adding new elements. The department now offers four undergraduate programs and one postgraduate program. The undergraduate programs (including their concentrations) have been recognized by relevant professional bodies, and internships assist our students with applying their learned knowledge and skills. Our programs aim to nurture a generation of business elites.
Specifically, our program of Bachelor of Business Administration (Honors) provides well-rounded business training to students and includes five concentrations for pursuing more relevant professional knowledge in particular fields. Students can select their own concentrations of interest to prepare for their future careers after two years of studies. Furthermore, the department has two professional programs: the BBA (Hons) in Digital Marketing, and the BBA (Hons) in Human Resources Management–Applied Psychology. If students have already targeted particular fields, the two programs will enrich them with more professional knowledge and skills. Together with our different departmental activities, students can develop fully and learn from business professionals and leaders.
The university has launched a pre-university program “International Foundation Year Programme” that bridges international students with academic qualifications to study bachelor’s degree programs of the university. Interested parties could visit its program details and admission requirements here.
