Bachelor of Software Engineering

The software engineering major of our school began to enroll students in 2011. In 2017, it began to enroll students in some provinces on a one-by-one basis. The annual enrollment scale for majors is about 180. The software engineering major passed the China Engineering Education Professional Certification in 2019, and was approved as a national first-class professional construction site in the same year. This major relies on our school’s provincial engineering practice education base, the information technology Henan Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center’s subject basic curriculum education resources, and the provincial and ministerial key laboratories, food information testing and control Henan Engineering Technology Research Center’s scientific research resources and achievements , The Software Engineering Department of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data undertakes the teaching tasks of professional basic courses and professional courses. The Software Engineering Department was approved as an excellent grassroots teaching organization in Henan Province in 2017.

There are currently 25 full-time teachers in this major. Among the teachers are the famous teachers of Henan Province, the teaching pacesetters of Henan Province, and the winners of the May 1st Labor Medal of Henan Province. The full-time faculty is dominated by young and middle-aged teachers, including 4 professors and 8 associate professors; 15 teachers with doctoral degrees, more than 80% of full-time teachers graduated from this category, and 10 part-time teachers in enterprises or industries. A team of teachers with reasonable academic structure, rich teaching experience, and strong engineering practice capabilities has been formed. In recent years, teachers of this specialty have successively presided over national and provincial scientific research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Henan Province’s key scientific and technological research projects, and won 4 provincial scientific and technological progress awards; presided over the Henan Provincial Educational Reform Project and the Provincial Teaching Quality Engineering Project 8 items, 3 items of Henan Provincial Teaching Achievement Award; strong teachers and outstanding innovation ability.
