HKU electrical and electronic engineering degree explores the fundamentals of electrical and electronic engineering, including electrical circuits, control and instrumentation, electromagnetic waves, and communication networks design.

You will also learn about pioneering approaches in this field and how to apply these to real-world problems. A project in a subject of your choice will help develop your professional skills through modules designed to prepare you for a successful career in engineering.

In your first two years, you will focus on developing fundamental abilities that underpin your later study and future career. There is a mix of theoretical knowledge coupled with practical experience.

The later years of your degree include further theoretical material but with an emphasis now on applying knowledge to a series of increasingly challenging and realistic design projects. Cooperative Education (CO-OP) is a structured method program that offers students the opportunity to last term period of academic study with periods of work closely related to their major field of study.

Cooperative Education program provides students with employment opportunities while pursuing a degree. The focus of the program is to offer job experiences that utilize the skills and knowledge students are learning in the classroom.

Admission requirements

Fees and funding

You can pay your tuition fees by Direct Debit, debit card, credit card, cheque, bank transfer. You may also be eligible for a student loan to help you pay your fees.
