Today, scientific, technological, cultural and economic developments in every field affect all sectors and this situation naturally concerns vocational education closely.

The rapid and technological developments experienced in the audio-visual techniques and media production sector directly affect the Graphic Design field. Graphic art, which is one of the tools that provides communication between people, has an important place in this sense. The main function of Graphic Design is to convey a message, promote a product or service. And technological developments bring about re-questioning the visual language. Here, the Graphic Design Department aims to train conscious and qualified artists / designers who are needed in the related fields, who can research, think, question, social and aesthetic tastes of the society, with the education to be shaped in this direction.

The Graphic Design Department, which is in close relationship with the developing technology, provides the young people with the advantage of getting a place in the new business areas that are emerging, and aims to evaluate the products (especially national and international competitions) that are produced within the scope of the course. Thus, while the self-confidence of the students who produce and share what they produce with the society at the student stage will increase, they will also find the opportunity to introduce themselves, their faculty and university, their city and even their country in different fields.
