Admissions
Curriculum
Year 1
In year 1, you dive into the basics of the marketing process and online marketing. You research consumer behavior and get input on scientific economic research and business. On top of that, you acquire and develop relevant soft skills, such as communication, negotiation, teamwork, professionalism, and responsibility. You’ll also start learning a new language.
Year 2
In year 2, you deepen your marketing knowledge with subjects like brand management, digital marketing, and marketing controlling. You gain insight into practice through several projects. The main project in year 2 is the StartUp Factory, which involves working together with students from different study programs. You choose between 4 types of projects, such as setting up your start-up or working on creative solutions for problems at real companies. Each StartUp Factory project allows you to work on your creativity and learn more about communication with people from different backgrounds.
Year 3
In the first semester of year 3, you do a work placement at a company of your choice. This enables you to practice your marketing skills for the future. You’ll deepen your knowledge in the real business world. The work placement can be completed in a country of your choice.
In the second semester of year 3, you deepen your knowledge of a specific theme by following a minor program. A minor program allows you to acquire knowledge in a field of your choice. You can choose to do this minor at Fontys, at one of our partner universities in the Netherlands, or at one of our 125 partner universities all over the world.
Year 4
In year 4, you’ll be working on a large real-life case project with an existing company. Moreover, we offer in-depth marketing modules like CRM and data Analytics, Intercultural Business competencies, International Trade, and Marketing Topics. In the final semester, you’ll do another work placement and work on a practical problem within a company. You report the solutions to this practical problem in your final product: the graduation report. Once you have concluded this final part of the study program, you’ll be rewarded with the internationally recognized Bachelor of Science degree.
