Introduction

The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree offers a broad education by following a more policy/applied approach and emphasizes the qualitative sides of economics. The BA program is more suitable for those who want to pursue a career in areas such as public administration, international relations, political science, business, sociology, and law, hence should be the program of choice for students who plan to begin working after graduation or applying to graduate programs in these areas.

To qualify for admission to the B.A. program, FIU undergraduates must have met all the lower division requirements, completed 60 semester hours, and have at least a 2.0 GPA.
