Introduction
Information
The Final International University Department of Business Administration was founded in 2015. Its undergraduate program leading to a Bachelor of Science honors degree is taught in English.
The program has been carefully designed to enable our students to acquire both theoretical and applied business knowledge, to solve business problems, and above all to think analytically.
The Department offers an interdisciplinary approach consisting of theoretical and applied courses covering all branches of the discipline. The program is thoroughly informed by the most recent developments in a global understanding of technology and business practice, and trains students not only to understand the problems faced by economies and industries internationally but to conduct practical research to generate solutions in the field. The Department is dedicated to delivering a program that meets the highest of international standards.
Curriculum
Graduation Requirements
The Business Administration Undergraduate degree program comprises 122 credits of full-time study which must be completed. In order to graduate, students are required to have a minimum cumulative average of 2.00 out of a possible total of 4.00.
ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)
FIU’s credit allocation system has also been carefully aligned with the European Credit Transfer System on the basis of 1 ECTS credit requiring 25 hours of student work both inside and outside formal classes.
A four-year FIU degree is, therefore, equivalent to 240 ECTS credits, or approximately 30 ECTS credits per semester.
Over the course of a full calendar year, in order to meet program requirements, it is expected that a student would therefore need to study 1500 hours, including classes, home study, and holiday study.
Individual courses are not currently assigned ECTS credit values, but departments will advise on equivalences and priorities.
Diploma
Students graduating from the program are awarded a BBA in Business Administration.
Program Outcome
The aim of the Business Administration Bachelor’s Degree Program is to prepare graduates in business and management sciences with the help of courses such as economics, mathematics, computer skills, statistics, marketing, finance, accounting, manufacturing, human resources management, and process management. It is also to educate students as "managerial or managerial candidates" who are able to analyze the problems they encounter with the help of contemporary management approaches, to bring rational and scientific solutions to these problems, and who are open to contemporary ideas and developments.
The course contents of the Business Administration Undergraduate Program are designed to enable our students to obtain theoretically and applied business knowledge, to solve business problems, and to think analytically.
Since instruction is in English, students will have the opportunity to improve their reading, writing, and especially speaking skills in English and thus communicate with the whole world.
The Bachelor of Business Administration prepares graduates in such a way that they can work in different positions within the national and international private and public sectors. The curriculum proposed by the Business Bachelor Program aims to improve students' practical skills in addition to theoretical knowledge.
The objectives of the Business Administration Undergraduate Program are as stated below:
- To equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in management, human resources, production, public relations, finance, marketing, accounting, and also auditing.
- To ensure competent decision-making in difficult situations in these areas.
- To bring in social and ethical responsibility with innovative research and entrepreneurial competencies.
- To equip students with leadership abilities through promoting the competence to communicate effectively in the environment.
- To instill the principle of continuous learning.
