Introduction

Software Development For The Smart World Of Tomorrow

Mobile applications, smartphones, tablets, etc. have become an integral part of our private and professional lives. Companies such as TikTok, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Spotify, and Netflix would be unthinkable without these technologies. The variety of applications is not limited to communication and entertainment. More and more highly professional services, e.g. in the financial, mobility, or health sectors - to name just a few - are based on these mobile technologies. Another driving factor is the "Internet of Things" (IoT). With the increasing networking of devices and services, mobile devices and applications are particularly important as an interface to people. New developments in the area of interaction, be it new types of displays, natural language communication, or high-performance optical recognition systems, will simplify interaction with the applications.
