About the course and differentials
Recognized with a degree of excellence, granted by the Ministry of Education - MEC, the course trains the Textile Engineer, a professional who will be able to work in all stages of production and service provision of a textile and clothing chain: from choosing the most suitable raw materials, passing through the production processes, to the quality control and commercialization of the final product.
The objective of the course is to train Engineers with skills, competences and attitudes suitable for solving problems associated with products, processes and services, such as: designing, developing and controlling integrated systems of people, materials, equipment and information; Use of resources acquired from knowledge and skills in Basic Sciences, together with the principles and methods of analysis of Engineering and Design, to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from these systems.
The student performs practical activities in the laboratory, studies basic theoretical content of Engineering (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and specific content (Fibers, Spinning, Flat weaving, Knitting, Finishing, etc.). Thus, graduates are qualified to work in areas such as Textile Project Management and Industrial Production.
The differential of the graduation in Textile Engineering at Faculdade SENAI CETIQT is its intense connection with companies and organizations in the textile, apparel and fashion production chain in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. SENAI CETIQT is a traditional trainer of professionals of excellence for this sector and the course makes use of these traditional links with the textile and clothing area for the professional practice of its students, in order to assist in their placement in the market, in the generation of knowledge and for providing services to that business area.
Infrastructure
SENAI CETIQT has classrooms equipped with a computer, projector, air conditioning and whiteboard; computer rooms with software such as Matlab and AutoCad. It also has a library with study room for students.
The laboratories used in practical classes are:
- Spinning Laboratories;
- Weaving Laboratory;
- Knitting laboratory;
- Finishing Lab.

The Textile Engineer's field of action is wide, covering the main industrial sectors (Textile, Apparel, Chemical, Automotive, Aeronautical, among others), the service provision segments, the field of research and education, with a view to the development of materials, products and equipment, managing operations and processes, controlling manufacturing and addressing environmental and economic impacts.

Tuition fees are calculated based on the amount of credits taken in each semester. Each student will be able to schedule and take the course in the most convenient way for each one.
Courses start every semester and access can be done through ENEM or through the entrance exam.
