Introduction
The Microsoft Information Systems/Web Technologies program enables students to apply theoretical concepts to solve real-life problems related to web/mobile and information systems. Courses cover the principles of information systems, including design, implementation, and security, as well as providing hands-on experience - building event-driven graphical user interface applications using industry-standard tools, integrating database management functionality, assessing web and e-commerce applications strategy and needs - that equips students to effectively respond to market demand and industry trends.
Awarding the Microsoft® Qualification
The strategic agreement reached with Microsoft Cyprus offers unique competitive advantages to students who will study for the Bachelor of Information Systems/Web Technologies:
- The curriculum has been updated to prepare students for the MTA (Microsoft Technology Associate) certification exams. The MTA qualification will be an additional qualification for graduates of Microsoft Information Systems/Web Technologies, giving them a competitive advantage to enter the job market of IT/Web Technologies professionals.
- The curriculum places emphasis on graduates the knowledge and background to set up and promote a business, within information systems, which is particularly important in the upcoming job industry of start-ups and new product innovation.
- The program will be linked with the Microsoft Innovation Center and its partner organizations with the aim to connect every student with a company in the form of projects and internships, giving students valuable practical knowledge prior graduation.

General Objectives
- To develop the student’s capacity to think, write and speak effectively and creatively
