Introduction
Why is the BA in Visual Representation a good choice?
Because it's unique, adventurous, and varied! Like all art forms, the visual arts (in this case painting and the natural arts) offer one of the most versatile opportunities for those who choose this branch of self-expression. We are living in an age of appreciation of the unique, handcrafted, as mass-produced items and general uniformity have overshadowed individual voices and visions. The world of art is one possible way out of this spiritual desertification. Classical painting and sculpture (or natural art) are traditional forms of representation, which is why you should apply for a BA in Visual Representation to experience the exciting process of creative work, which gives an extra experience and energy not only to the artist but also to the host community.
The program aims to train professionals who have a thorough theoretical and practical understanding of traditional and contemporary visual representation. These professionals have a complex view on gathering information in traditional and contemporary painting and alternative representation including the traditional and interactive manifestations of visual representation in ordinary artistic fields. These professionals are able to study and autonomously utilize visual language and its ways of expression. On the basis of their competence, they have a thorough theoretical and practical understanding of professional work and conducting practice. The program emphasizes the development of manual skills, the acquisition of traditional and new techniques, and practicing a creative way of thinking. Students with a BA degree have good employment opportunities: besides individual artistic activities, they can work as organizers or mediators of social, cultural and artistic fields. They are ready to continue their studies at Master’s level.

Program Outcome
What will you learn?
Nature Art specialization
Nature art is about recreating harmony with nature. The creative activity is based on direct physical contact with nature, directly using natural materials, objects, energies, and sites. Time takes concrete form in the finite lifespan of the works created: the work exists in the time of cyclical changes in nature. In the studio, students will work with materials using mainly manual techniques - tapping, spinning, weaving, binding, etc. - with minimal use of machines. In addition to the studio work, some of the practical classes take place at the cave dwellings in Noszvaj, but students also participate in a number of other art camps and natural art events, often abroad.
Painting specialization
The aim of the course is to train artists who, with their acquired knowledge of painting, sovereign vision, and skill of self-expression, are capable of pursuing autonomous painting activities. Graduates are familiar with the means and possibilities of expression of universal painting, and the materials, and techniques that can be used. With a high level of knowledge, the ability to express themselves, and a knowledge of international and national artistic trends, they are able to express ideas in the form of fine art.
