The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) Degree in Integrated Healthcare Management at Edmonds College provides advanced knowledge and skills for managerial positions in healthcare settings. This Bachelor's degree program is unique in its interdisciplinary model and focuses on applied skills that prepare our graduates to make lasting changes in the healthcare field.

The Integrated Healthcare Management Bachelor of Applied Science (IHCM-BAS)prepares you to be an effective leader in today’s rapidly changing healthcare landscape. This healthcare management program was designed and developed for Seattle-area working professionals in collaboration with healthcare employers in the Washington State healthcare community.

Curriculum
Credits are split into three 60-credit sections:
Proficiency (60 credits)
This requirement is typically met prior to starting the Integrated Healthcare Management - Bachelor of Applied Science (IHCM-BAS) program, and will be met by the core courses earned in completion of an Associate in Applied Science - Transfer (AAS-T), or equivalent degree, in one of the following:
- Allied Health Education
- Medical Laboratory Science
- Medical Assisting
- Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Pharmacy Technician
- Physical Therapy Assistant
- Radiologic Technology
- Surgical Technology
- Or other equivalent area of study
If you did not complete an AAS-T or have credits from another college, please contact the IHCM Program Manager for a preliminary transcript review to determine proficiency credits.
General Education (60 credits)
This requirement will typically be met in two parts. At least 30 of the 60 credits will be completed as part of the AAS-T, or equivalent degree, prior to the start of the IHCM-BAS program. The remaining credits will be completed during the IHCM-BAS program.
Note: if students have more than 30 credits of general education prior to starting the IHCM-BAS program, credits may be transferable after a transcript review.
IHCM - Upper Division (60 credits)
This requirement will be completed in two years (6 quarters) during the IHCM-BAS program. Each quarter will consist of 10 credits of IHCM courses which are held during Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters.
Summer Quarter can be used for completing general education or proficiency credits if needed.
