DBIMA is led by a team of experienced and passionate professionals, and we are committed to creating a new generation of professionals who will change and shape the audiovisual landscape of tomorrow.
Our strengths include:
- A low student-to-professor ratio, ensuring that students get the personalized attention and support they need to succeed.
- A focus on mentoring and adapting to the student's profile and projects.
- A close focus on personal projects and goals, ensuring that students have what they need to kickstart their desired careers.
- A focus on practical knowledge and shooting as many finished projects as possible.
At DBIMA, we believe that the best way to learn is by doing. That's why our courses are designed to be hands-on and project-based. Shifting between theoretical and practical courses for 3 years, our students are trained by experienced professionals that are selected for their pedagogical approach. You'll work on real-world projects, and you'll graduate with a portfolio of your work that will help you land your dream job in the cinema and media industry.
If you're a creative and passionate individual who is looking for a school that will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the cinema and media industry, then DBIMA is the right choice for you.
Here are some noticeable points of our bachelor program
- We offer a variety of courses, including directing, cinematography, production, screenwriting, and editing.
- Practical classes are held twice a week at a minimum, from directing, camera training, and lighting courses, to sound-on-set courses as well as editing, color grading, and sound mixing courses.
- Each year ends with a production period dedicated to filming more ambitious projects written by the students.
- During their studies, students are asked to complete and present several projects or finished works.
- During this 3 year journey, students will choose a Major and develop a specialized set of skills that fits their desired jobs and goals.
- Masterclasses and weeklong workshops are organized often for students to meet advanced professionals and discover new specific skills and potential new careers.
- By the end of a student’s studies, they will have a personal show-reel to represent their work.
Located in Paris, DBIMA also has a strong link to French culture, art, Museums and Exhibitions.
