The DIDI campus is located within the thriving Dubai Design District (d3), the center of design in the region, and a melting pot for the world’s top designers and creatives. The DIDI campus incorporates a ‘mega’ studio space, which enables the cross-disciplinary nature of the curriculum.
The open-plan learning environment encourages collaboration and a continuous cycle of learning.
The DIDI environment has the advantage of an urban campus, seamlessly integrated with the lively design community at the heart of d3, offering students a dynamic and lively surrounding of design studios and showrooms, amenities, and conveniences, a variety of creative events and seminars, and year-round activities, including Dubai Design Week and Art Dubai.
The educational spaces are designed to maximize the potential of visual learners. For this reason, our main learning space is the studio, which is based on openness and direct visual lines, so learners immediately engage, collaborate, and exchange knowledge with their peers and professors, and improve their learning opportunities at every level.
Fashion Studio
This is the space where students attend their fashion courses, studios, and workshops and get to put their learnings into practice by creating and developing their fashion collections on-site.
Fab Lab
This state-of-the-art space is an application of the global Fab Lab concept developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This is where students learn hands-on the processes of digital and manual manufacturing and how to materialize their vision.
Multimedia Lab
The Multimedia Lab is equipped with the latest and most essential hardware and software that can handle any application from advanced digital graphics to 3D modeling and rendering, allowing students to conceptualize their projects seamlessly.
Library
Students and faculty members can access the library to acquire digital and print resources, for research, study, or teaching.
The library also features a Materials Library and a Living Library (Library)- an active database of the Humans of Dubai Design District (d3).
Clubs
Student Clubs are an excellent way for students to interact, share their passion, unwind from studying, and engage in extra-curricular activities.
Covering various interests and hobbies, some of the current clubs are the Volleyball Club, Chess Club, Photography Club, and Knitting Club, to only name a few.
