Introduction
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) degree prepares graduates for technical positions in the expanding fields of industrial operations, mechanical design, and construction design.
The program has a strong commitment to maintain standards of excellence in content and to continuously upgrade curriculum to meet industry needs. The primary objective is to provide a broad foundation of career skills, professionalism, and the ability to be life-long learners for our graduates. Some associated careers are technical positions in the expanding fields of engineering and technology including but not limited to systems engineer, process analyst, technical sales engineer, project engineer, field engineer, and calibration engineer.

The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology prepares graduates for technical positions in the expanding fields of industrial operations, mechanical design, and construction design. The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology uses a 2 + 2 model requiring the completion of an associate's degree for entry into the program. The degree components are shown below.
Program Outcome
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline
- Design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined engineering problems appropriate to the discipline
- Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature
- Conduct standard tests, measurements, and experiments and to analyze and interpret the results to improve processes; and
- Function effectively as a member as well as a leader on technical teams.
