Available online, the Bachelor of Business Studies from Charles Sturt University allows you to design your own degree – so you can study a wide range of business subjects and even combine subjects from other areas, including arts, humanities and science.
If your plans change along the way, you can exit with a Diploma in Business Studies after completing eight subjects or an Associate Degree in Business Studies after completing 16 subjects.

If you have an interest in other fields, you have the option to study up to one-third of your subjects in a non-business area.

If you're unsure which business specialisation you want to pursue, you can study a range of subjects in the Bachelor of Business Studies before transferring into another more specialised Charles Sturt University business degree. You can also transfer from a specialist business degree back to the Bachelor of Business Studies.

Subjects
For each 8-point subject you are enrolled in, you should expect to spend 10 to 12 hours per week working on assignments and assigned readings, tutorial assistance, individual or group research/study, forum activity, workplace learning, and attending lectures, residential schools, or examinations.
If you are studying four subjects per session, this is equivalent to a full-time job. The workload for some subjects may vary as a result of the approved course design.
The course consists of 24 standard subjects (192 points) including:
- At least one strategy capstone subject chosen from ACC311 , FIN350 , HRM330 , MGT330 or MKT340
- No more than 12 x Level 1 subjects
- At least 4 x Level 2 subjects
- At least 4 x Level 3 subjects
- At least 16 of the 24 subjects must be chosen from business subjects as per the list of Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Business subjects.
Students must also demonstrate accomplishment of CSU’s Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLOs) by completing subjects selected from the table below OR by gaining approval from your Course Director to meet the GLOs via completion of other CSU subjects/or as demonstrated by the prior study.

This ongoing development will enable you to effectively participate in your course and graduate prepared to enter the workforce.

To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 192 points.
Associate Degree in Business Studies [Exit Point Only]
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
Diploma of Business Studies [Exit Point Only]
To graduate students must satisfactorily complete 64 points.
