Campus Features

Bangkok University is a hub for education and learning, catering to students across all faculties.

The campus is strategically organized into Zones A to D, encompassing a total of 47 buildings. spanning 150,625 square meters in usable area. These buildings comprise:

  • 11 classroom buildings
  • 6 laboratory buildings
  • 4 cafeteria buildings
  • 26 other multipurpose structures

Among these facilities are 137 lecture rooms, covering a usable area of 17,313 square meters. Additionally, there are 220 laboratories with a total usable area of 22,892 square meters.

Zone A houses iconic structures including the BU Diamond Building, Tourism Tower Building, Academic Building, Imagine Village Building, Service Building, and the vibrant Student Activities Center (SAC).

Zone B encompasses the classroom building and workshop facilities of the School of Fine Arts, the workshop building of the School of Architecture, the School of Engineering building, the Southeast Asian Pottery Museum, the Surat Library Building, the Osathanugrah Building, the Communication Arts Complex, Center for Cinematic and Digital Arts, and Bangkok University Press.

Zone D is home to various facilities, including a welcoming reception building, a tennis court, an amphitheater, 41 versatile meeting and seminar rooms with a total usable area of 5,107 square meters, 77 administrative rooms and teaching offices spanning 11,299 square meters, and 121 student lounges and other multifunctional spaces. Additionally, Zone D features an area covering 9,573 square meters, and the Imagine Village project extends across an approximate area of 13,671 square meters.

Bangkok University is a pioneer in environmental responsibility, proudly holding ISO14001 certification for our entire system, making us the first private university in Thailand to receive comprehensive accreditation. Our campus also boasts a football field, outdoor sports facilities, residential pavilions surrounding the university, retail outlets, a serene literature garden, an institutional plant garden, a health-focused garden, and seven parking lots with a combined capacity of accommodating 1,048 vehicles, ensuring a holistic and conducive environment for both learning and personal development.

    Qualification and Required Documents

    Required Documents

    1. A completed online application
    2. A copy of the official transcript

    4. Letter (s) of recommendation on work experience (if any)
    5. English-language proficiency test score report: (result is valid for 2 years)

    TOEFL minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 213 (CBT) or 80 (iBT) or

    IELTS: 6.5 across each band or

    Duolingo English Test (DET): 100 in all subscore

    Any applicant who has not obtained/submitted the specified English-language Proficiency Test Score is required to pass the Bangkok University- English Proficiency Test (BU-EPT).

    Qualification

    Admissions Criteria

    1. Oral Entrance Examination* (For overseas applicants, the online interview may also be required by the Committee for more
      information)
    2. In International Programs, applicants are required to have a proficient command of English skills*, equivalent to TOEFL 550 PBT (CBT: 213, IBT: 80) / IELTS: 6.5 across each band / Duolingo English Test (DET):100 in all subscore
    3. Applicants should have a statement of purpose/ an essay describing the applicant’s goal in applying to the program*
    4. Students admitted to study in the international program or English program at the graduate degree level who have not met the qualification requirement for the English-language Proficiency Test Score as specified by the University are required to register in English Preparation for Graduation Studies and pass an assessment. If failed, the students must retake the course and pass the assessment. The University reserves the right not to approve graduation to students who have not passed the assessment for English Preparation for Graduate Studies.

    * Admission of applicants will be based on the results of the English Proficiency test, an interview, and the candidates’ experience & achievements.

    Scholarships and Funding

    Student Loan Fund (SLF), Academic Year 2024

    The Student Loan Fund (SLF) will promote education. By providing loans for education at the bachelor's degree level in 3 types as follows:

    Type 1 is given to students who lack funds. Family income not more than 360,000 baht/year

    Lending money for tuition and living expenses The repayment period is as specified by the Fund (additional details below). There is a grace period of 2 years after graduation or termination of studies. Interest rate 1% per year

    Type 2 is given to students who study in fields of study that are their main requirements. which is the production of manpower and is necessary for the development of the country

    Giving out loans for tuition fees with a repayment period as specified by the Fund (as per additional details below), with a grace period of 2 years after graduation or termination of studies. The interest rate is 1% per year. If you have an annual family income of not more than 360,000 baht, you will be able to borrow for living expenses and receive a special interest rate of 0.75% per year.

    Type 3 is given to students studying in deficient fields. or that the fund specifically aims to promote

    Giving out loans for tuition fees with a period of repayment as specified by the Fund (as further detailed below), with a grace period of 2 years after graduation or termination of studies. The interest rate is 1% per year. If you have an annual family income not exceeding 360,000 baht, you will be able to borrow for living expenses and receive a special interest rate of 0.75% per year.
