Introduction
Power and Automation - rule the movement and energy of our world
We have a truly exclusive offer for you: a bachelor study where you learn how to design power generators, motors, or automotive and robot machines all in state-of-the-art equipped labs. You will learn how to design embedded systems, and communication platforms and how to create communication protocols. There are maths, physics, and materials for power electronics, and automotive at the beginning. However, you can focus on robotics, control systems, generation and distribution of electricity or power electronics.
Title after graduating: Bc.
Key subjects: mathematics, physics
Post-grad skills:
- Designing power Electronics systems
- Robotics
- Energy power plant design
Possible jobs for graduates:
- Electronics Design Expert
- Automation Systems Technician
- Communication Services Operator
- Information and Communication Systems Technician
Graduates may choose to continue studying a follow-up master’s degree program.
Further description:
The Bachelor's degree program "Electrical Engineering" offers university studies in the field of electrical engineering with a specialization in electronics and communication systems and a specialization in high-current electrical engineering and automation. The study program aims to provide applicants with knowledge, skills, and abilities for application in production, operation, or service technical practice of the electrical engineering industry.
The student will acquire high-quality theoretical knowledge in mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, the basics of subjects focused on electronics, communication systems, high-current electrical engineering, and automation. Emphasis is also placed on general and professional language training.
Keywords: Electrical engineering, engineering, power systems, automation, bachelor, BUT
Program Outcome
The bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering provides higher education in all fields of low-current and high-current electrical engineering and electronics, i.e. in various areas of applied electronics, communication technology, communication technology, high-current electrical engineering and power engineering, microelectronics and electrical technology, automation, and measurement technology. The bachelor's program is aimed at educating operational experts - electrical engineers and electronics engineers with knowledge of the construction, operation, and application use of electrotechnical and electronic circuits, devices, and systems.
The graduate will acquire theoretical foundations and professional knowledge in the fields of mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, measurement, applied informatics, practical knowledge in the field of design, construction, operation, and application use of modern electronic circuits and systems in various areas of general low-current electronics and electronic communication technologies, knowledge of areas of telecommunications, electric power engineering, basic knowledge in the area of electrical machines, devices, electric drives, and power electronics, an overview of materials for electrical engineering and microelectronics, knowledge in the field of diagnostics of electrical engineering materials and devices.
The graduate will be able to
- characterize technical systems and processes in the field of electrical engineering,
- evaluate the results of calculations and measurements based on critical thinking and acquired knowledge,
- estimate and propose the use of appropriate procedures for solving technical problems.
The graduate will be able to
- apply basic and specialist knowledge when solving specific requirements in the field of electrical engineering,
- select criteria for sizing and building technical systems in electrical engineering,
- select criteria for sizing and forming technical processes in electrical engineering,
- solve a given technical problem using the acquired knowledge of methods and with the possibility of using suitable engineering tools,
- evaluate the impact of technical solutions on society and the environment,
- continue further lifelong education and professional development.
Career Opportunities
Thanks to Their General Knowledge of Electrical Engineering, Graduates of The Bachelor's Program Bpa-Ele Will Find Employment in Various Areas of The Electrical Industry:
- In the Operation of Communication and Other Connection Services, Operation, Service, and Maintenance of Electronic Devices, Devices and Systems,
- In Technical Positions Focused on The Design, Construction, and Management of Information and Communication Systems,
- As Operational Technicians for Measurement, Control, and Automation Systems,
- As Operational Specialists (e.G. Energy Specialists) in Business and Other Companies, Not only Electrotechnical Ones,
- As Experts in The Areas of Design, Construction, and Production of Electronic and Electrotechnical Devices and Devices, Including Devices with Built-In Intelligence.
In All These Areas, They Are Also Able to Perform Lower Technical, Managerial, and Managerial Functions. a Highly Practically Oriented Higher Education Allows Graduates to Be Directly Employed in Production, Operational, or Service Technical Practice and Also Provides a Good Basis for Further Supplementing Theoretical Knowledge in The Follow-Up Master's Study.
