Introduction
The BA (Hons) Acting for Stage, Screen & Digital Media undergraduate course offers rigorous and multi-faceted practical training that will prepare you for the demands of the professional acting industry.
This course is available at Performers College in the UK (Birmingham, Essex) and at BIMM University. On our campus in Birmingham, this course at this site location is not currently available to international students who require sponsorship of a Student Route Visa.
Acting for Stage, Screen and Digital Media is a multi-faceted course that prepares aspiring actors for the industry of today and tomorrow. Taught by experts active in today’s international acting industry, the course delivers an intensive program that develops your technical, practical, and theoretical capabilities as an actor.
During your first year of study, you will build a foundation of skills through modules that explore the fundamentals of voice, movement, and improvisation. Then, in your second year, you will refine those skills through hands-on modules exploring contemporary and classical performance, applying your acting technique for multi-camera setups, and exploring the audition process in depth.
Your course will culminate with a final project led by you, allowing you to showcase your skills and knowledge in the area of Acting you’re most passionate about. As an acting student, you’ll collaborate with actors, filmmakers, and musicians throughout your three years of study.

Early Confirmation Discount
An early confirmation discount for study in the UK of £2,000 or €2,000 for study in Germany or Ireland for each year of study is available to all international students ineligible for home (domestic) fees who have an offer to study with us at any of our campuses in the UK, Germany or Ireland.
Discount eligibility
To be eligible for the Early Confirmation Discount, you must:
- Be an overseas applicant ineligible for home (domestic) fees
- Apply and receive an offer to study a BIMM University course
- Accept your offer
- Pay your deposit, if applicable, by the deadline of 15th June 2024
- The scholarship will automatically be deducted from your fees when you enroll.
This discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer, or scholarship.
Future Talent Scholarship
Launching for September 2024 entry, the new Future Talent Scholarships provide a full 3-year tuition fee for undergraduate students studying courses in music, film, acting, or creative technology. These scholarships are aimed at candidates from low-income households and/or groups under-represented in the creative industries. We are looking to support those who demonstrate talent in their chosen discipline, strong creative potential, and a high motivation for a career in the creative industries.
The scholarship offers financial support, a supportive training environment, and a skills and career development program designed to support progression to future careers in the creative industries.

You will undertake an intensive programme of technical development that is underpinned by a curriculum spine that focuses on your career and personal development. The programme offers in-depth actor training for theatre, film, TV and recorded media.
Through our option modules, you will also create a bespoke pathway of learning that gives you time to explore your specific areas of interest.
Our vibrant and innovative course continuously develops your individual artistry with opportunities to collaborate and perform with music and filmmaking students. Performance opportunities may include short films, documentaries, music videos, radio drama, community theatre, and contemporary and classical plays.
You will also have access to specialist masterclasses and workshops covering topics such as TV presenting, stage combat, puppetry and more. Lead by industry guests, these masterclasses allow you to gain extracurricular expertise and help you springboard into the acting profession.
