The Mission of the Biology Program is to prepare students for careers in research, teaching, biological and medical fields, industry and government, and for admission to graduate, medical, dental, allied health, and other health professional schools. The Mission of the Bachelor of Science in Biology is in alignment with the Mission of the College to develop scholarship, leadership, and global acumen within the students of the Department. By offering core biology courses supplemented with biology electives, the Department meets the needs of our students by providing a curriculum, which develops proficiency in the biological sciences needed to succeed in graduate school, professional school, and the science industry.

The Mission of the Bachelor of Science Program in Computer Science at Bennett College for Women is to instill the student with essential facts, concepts, principles, theories, and applications relating to computer science. Graduates of the program understand not only the theoretical foundations of the discipline but also how that theory influences and is applied in practice. The program provides a foundation that allows the student to study at the graduate level and/or to work in the industry, maintaining their skills in the rapidly changing field.
