Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics

The mission of Baskent University is to raise individuals indigenizing the objectivity of science and individuals having national consciousness and researcher, productive, interrogative, creative and innovative characters and being respectful of science, mind and universal law and having analytic and holistic view and being sensitive to human and environmental rights and also to raise individuals sticking to Atatürk's principles.

The other missions are to contribute to improvement the levels of technological, socio-economic and cultural of Turkish society by means of education and training, research and development and dissemination of information and to contribute to improvement of the human health, human and environmental rights and to contribute community service to become widespread.

All fields of life sciences investigate basically the living organisms and their interactions with each other, with questions of why and how. Molecular Biology and Genetics is an area of life science which living things are structurally and functionally studied at the molecular level. The mission of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics at Başkent University is to train graduates who are able to take a high-quality, interdisciplinary point of view needed in our country and be able to take part in innovative and pioneering research at the national and international level in the field and produce solutions to competitive and societal needs.
