Degree in Design and Innovation
The Degree in Design and Innovation puts at your disposal all the tools, knowledge and resources necessary for you to maximize your abilities and learn to use design as a tool for reflection and personal positioning.
At Elisava we want to train designers with a creative profile, with critical thoughts, with an exploratory vision of the world, who are capable of questioning and talking with other agents of the social, productive, scientific or cultural environment crosswise. We also want them to have a great decision-making capacity and influence in the strategy definition to create, develop and implement new elements of communication, services, products or environments for the society.

Skills
At the end of the Degree in Design and Innovation you will have the necessary knowledge and skills to develop your work activity in a wide variety of sectors and participate in all phases of the design process:
- Define your personal positioning of design from a social, environmental, political, ethical and aesthetic vision.
- Design scenarios to anticipate future needs.
- Converse with professionals from other fields (technical, artistic, scientific...), managing knowledge from other disciplines in a resolute manner.
- Experiment with materials, processes and techniques to add value to the design project.
- Develop design projects in different work areas, on your own or in any business or institutional model.
- Communicate effectively in each of the phases of the design project.
- Applies knowledge of the different areas of design adapted to the evolution and needs of the professional context.

Career Opportunities
Upon completion of the Degree in Design and Innovation, you will have the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out your work activity in a wide range of sectors and fields, participating in all phases of the design process.
- Design of spaces (interior spaces – bars, restaurants, homes... –, design of stands, exhibitions, interventions in public spaces, scenery, ephemeral displays, window dressing).
- Product design and/or industrial design (furniture, lighting, automotive, packaging , objects and accessories, products, systems and services).
- Graphic design and visual communication (art direction, corporate image, editorial design, web design, application design, information design, packaging , illustration, typography, signage).
- Design of interactive experiences and interaction (web design, audiovisual design, multimedia, user experience, digital interface design, product design and interactive environments).
- Design education and research (criticism, research, theoretical and pedagogical development of design).
Program delivery
The languages of instruction for this program are Spanish/Catalan, with some courses taught in English.
Program Admission Requirements
