Introduction
The Bachelor of Science in Music with a concentration in Modern Worship prepares aspiring worship leaders for employment in modern Church settings. The program is designed to equip musicians toward biblical-centered worship, skilled musicianship, effective leadership, administrative competence, and integrated music technologies.

Curriculum
What will I study?
The Modern Worship program includes an innovative CORE General Studies program with an integrated Biblical Studies minor. This unique program embraces a Biblical worldview of the Liberal Arts and prepares students to be influential thinkers. Career-related focus areas and courses will include:
- Worship Leader – Develop skills needed to lead people in worship
- Worship View – Develop a personal and biblically-based philosophy of worship
- Band Leader – Lead a praise band and develop rehearsal techniques
- Worship Desk – Build and manage a worship department; service planning
- Songwriting, Recording, and Arranging
- Worship Technologies used in worship and music production
- Music Theory (co-requisites: Sight Singing/Dictation, Class Piano)
- Private Lessons
- Performance Ensembles: Chorale, Praise Bands, Jazz Band, String Ensemble, Pep Band, Musical Theatre, Drumline
