You can choose from three-degree options leading to exciting and fulfilling career tracks in the visual arts such as Animation, Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, 3-D modelling, Art History, and Arts Management, to name a few.

In the “old days,” students graduating with art majors saw teaching and graphic design as their most obvious career paths. However, rapidly changing digital fields, the growth in public art programs, and the development of web-based galleries have all created many more opportunities for visual arts graduates to make careers in art-related areas. Art is a highly competitive field, yet Alma College students who work seriously to acquire strong creative problem-solving and technical skills find themselves well-prepared to continue to work as artists after graduation.
