Our Management & Leadership program is nationally accredited by the Canadian Institute of Management. The program offers dynamic learning experiences which often challenge business as usual. Course instruction draws from a wide range of engaging methods, including service learning projects in community organizations, film and case analysis, debates, simulations, guest lectures, virtual teams, and field trips. Along the way, through critique and reflection, students will learn more about themselves and the kind of business leader they are and wish to become.

There is an increasing need for qualified nonprofit professionals to effectively manage the business and financial affairs of charitable and humanitarian organizations.

Managers make things happen! They allocate resources, empower their employees, develop skills in others, and lead the organization. They make things happen by asking questions, encouraging critical thinking, and motivating the team to discover solutions. The best managers are leaders who manage resources and challenge others to achieve and grow.

Within the Management and Leadership stream, our points of emphasis - and differentiation - are in the areas of ethics, leadership and social responsibility, or all together, responsible management. Graduates can expect to be uniquely knowledgeable about the complexities of managing within an increasingly global social context and the leadership challenges that come with heightened expectations for ethical behavior.
