Study a Bachelor of Arts in Acting. This Acting B.A. programme is taught entirely in English at our Macromedia campus in Berlin, Germany and in partnership with Cours Florent, Paris.

The BA (Hons) Theatre Industry Practice is a hands-on, skills-led course designed for aspiring performers, producers, and technical theatre professionals. Created in response to industry demand, this program immerses students in a range of disciplines, from acting and directing to stage management, lighting, and set design. With expert-led training, live theatre productions, and specialized placements, students gain real-world experience to launch successful careers in the dynamic performing arts industry.

This course explores different European theatre practices, centred on the notions of the ensemble and of crossing borders; training you in the processes of theatre-making (as a performer, director, deviser, and designer) alongside an understanding of how performance is shaped by its cultural contexts.

Performance Design students learn through collaboration with those studying on Central’s design, production and acting courses, gaining a deep insight into other practices. They also work closely with the craftspeople and constructors who will realize their designs, and the stage management and technical production teams who will bring their work to the moment of performance. Skills including model making, technical drawing using AutoCAD and SketchUp, costume drawing and storyboarding using Photoshop, and the use of projected media will be developed, and there will be opportunities to put these skills into practice on realized projects in Central’s professionally equipped performance spaces.

The major is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in theater, but who are not interested in performing. Students can choose to concentrate on one or more of the following areas: Scenery, Costumes, Lighting, Sound, and Technical Direction.

Major or minor in Theatre at Converse and our liberal arts curriculum will introduce you to all facets surrounding theatre productions. From directing to acting, to costume and stage design, our theatre majors are introduced to all aspects of theatre productions.

East 15 Acting School’s BA Creative Producing (Theatre and Short Film) course is a full-time, industry-focused training aimed at entrepreneurial artists with an interest in creating, producing, administrating and promoting theatre and film.

On the Drama, Applied Theatre and Education (DATE) course, you can perform in, direct and devise theatre, explore performance that takes place outside traditional theatre environments, make theatre to change lives and inspire change in communities, and build industry contacts worldwide through placements and outreach projects, and develop skills in areas such as facilitating, devising, directing, performing, playwriting and filmmaking.

The Bachelor of Arts Theatre program helps students sharpen their artistic skills and explore new talents while allowing them to pair Theatre with another major. The communication, collaboration, and leadership skills gained in Theatre prepare students for success in a wide range of industries.

The Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture was established in 1965, and has evolved into 4 branches, in addition to two departments, the Urbanism Department and the Restoration Department. It currently has around 2,930 students.

Students have the opportunity to study performance, design and theatre technology, theatre history, and dramatic literature. If theatre is your thing, our bachelor’s degree program in theatre will help you become a well-rounded artist. Our theatre students work on five major productions on the Harman Auditorium stage each year. Productions range from two children’s theatre offerings to literary classics and Christian drama. As a theatre major, you’ll learn essential skills in rigorous coursework and through hands-on opportunities in production, design, and construction.
