The Progressive Welding Technology program at Mitchell Technical College is industry-driven to educate students who want to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry. The program provides the proper skills for graduates to excel in welding, machining, and lean manufacturing techniques.

The Bachelor's of Applied Science in Diesel Technology (BAS-DT) prepares graduates for careers in Diesel Technologies. The BAS-DT program is an additional two years of full-time study beyond a two-year associate degree.

The mission of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department is to educate students for the practice of their profession in drilling, production and reservoir engineering topics for underground fluid resources in oil and gas and, for the advancement of knowledge and technology that form the basis of petroleum engineering as well as for finding solutions to the national, international, societal and environmental issues related to petroleum industry.
