Course of Aerospace Design - This course aims to foster graduates that can participate in the design and manufacture of aircraft and rockets; Course of Space System - This course is designed for those intending to pursue careers related to the field of launching satellites and space exploration; Course of Aircraft Maintenance - This course is designed for those intending to pursue careers in the field of aircraft maintenance and operations.

This is a balanced curriculum incorporating mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, and environmental sciences. The Ship Management Course trains marine engineers for large vessels, and the Mechatronics Course teaches the theory of component technology related to heat, materials, fluids, and environment.

This department conducts education and research in the area where marine and fisheries engineering merges with mechanical engineering ─ a field that is based on physics but also incorporates biology and chemistry. The department seeks to endow students with a broad array of technological capabilities related to the development of machinery used in fisheries, the sustainable utilization of fisheries resources, and the conservation of marine environments, so that graduates can actively contribute to the industry in a wide variety of ways, including the development of machinery related to the marine environment, ships and food. Students who graduate from this department and take up further study in Marine Engineering in the Advanced Course can obtain certification as a ship officer, enabling them to work as a chief engineer or engineer on a ship traveling on international waters.

Robots, production lines, automobiles, cameras … any type of machine can be completely controlled by mechatronics. “Mechatronics” is a technological field that combines electrical and electronic engineering with machinery. Nearly all machines around us in our everyday lives are operated by mechatronics. This department is divided into the four fields of Machinery, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Measurement and Control, and Information and Computers, aiming to develop mechatronics engineers able to play active roles in these industries. It cultivates mechanical engineers who also have knowledge of electricity and electronics and electrical and electronic engineers who also have knowledge of machinery.

Our goal is to turn out sophisticated engineers capable of doing good things for society through educating them in the creation of equipment incorporating microcomputers such as robots, assistance technology products and self-help tools, health promotion systems, and more.
