As the largest city with over 1 million inhabitants, Tbilisi is also the capital Georgia. It is located along the banks of Kura River. The city has several major establishments of higher education and among them is the largest and main University in Georgia – the Tbilisi State University.

Education in Georgia is partially financed for those people pursuing education between ages 18 and 35 years. This system enables students to acquire practical skills and knowledge which helps the whole world face the challenges of the 21st century.

A bachelor's degree is given to students who fulfill the necessary requirements given by the college or university they are attending. The requirements include three to seven years of focus on a subject, typically referred to as a major or concentration.
