Okan University is one of the few universities in Turkey that deliver Flight Training undergraduate degree program to its students. Applicants who successfully complete the English Language Preparatory Program are entitled to start their 4-year Undergraduate Professional Flight Degree Program.
Okan University Undergraduate Professional Flight Degree Program will provide academic courses as well as theoretical ground, and the flight training will be offered by our partner Flight Training Organization as per the Academic Cooperation Protocol. Okan Flight Degree graduates will also be qualified for the Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM).
Prospective pilots must satisfy the necessary conditions stipulated for Student Pilot License applications in Article 24 of the Rules and Regulations for Aircraft Pilot Licenses (SHY-1) published on the Official Gazette No: 26190 on June 6, 2006. Furthermore, Okan University prospective students must submit a first class health certificate (Class-1) issued by the authorized aviation medical centers that are recognized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), along with a clean bill of health which states that the “there are no impediments or limitations that prevent the bearer from serving as the pilot-in-command in single-pilot certified aircrafts.”
As the students of Okan University Undergraduate Professional Flight Degree Program graduate, they will have both national and international employment opportunities. The whole degree program is provided in English language and the pilot license will be recognized internationally.
Accordingly, Okan Flight Degree Program Graduates will hold an internationally recognized pilot license; demonstrate English language proficiency at ICAO level 6. Through discipline and decision making training they will be at the highest limits of safety and security and furthermore, they will have all of the necessary requisites to qualify them for international airlines.
