Program Description

Learning to do this is the underlying principle of the three-year courses at Raffles Milano, a training path that structures the mind, provides a solid technical baggage and makes you want to broaden your horizons of life.


Without design the world would be poorer and more tiring. Design discipline can be defined as 'scattered intelligence' that calls for new meanings and new solutions, and that educates people to generate value and values ​​for the world around us. Design has always been a powerful motor of social, aesthetic and thoughtful progress.

Professional Opportunities

Design is an indispensable factor for all companies that are on the market for the quality of their products. This quality is made up of ideation, usability and emotionality, meeting the eco-sustainable requirements, choosing the right materials and the life cycle of the products themselves. And the designer is the first actor in defining the main features of the product. At the end of the course, the candidate will be able to find collaborative opportunities or structured applications in the most diverse industrial fields where innovation and product quality, services and processes converge.

Who is

The course is aimed at candidates with a Second Degree Secondary School degree. The ideal course student wants to transform his creative features into thinking, design, implementation and communication skills of projects, products and services. The course provides research tools, methodologies and processes to govern design complexity. Because of its interdisciplinary design, the course provides tools for interacting with various experts in process management, from product design to marketing.


The First Year Program is a prelude to the acquisition of basic design tools, perception and sensoriality, knowledge of materials, design history, project theory and representation, design 1. Second year is characterized by a strong component of laboratories, workshops, interdisciplinary workshops, visits to companies. The third year is intended for the analysis of future trends and scenarios, new design opportunities, with the city as a project theater. The last semester is devoted to the development of a project thesis in collaboration with companies.
