Three year course in visual design

Program Description

Learning to do this is the underlying principle of the three-year courses at Raffles Milano, a training path that structures the mind, provides a solid technical baggage and makes you want to broaden your horizons of life.

Designing means turning the world, starting from the simplest to the most complex. Design is not just a discipline that teaches to invent and improve material life: it is a model that teaches us how small and big plans are bound by invisible wires. It is the art of change, responsibility and commitment.

Professional Opportunities

The visual designer is a designer able to coordinate the skills of collaborators in various disciplines and knows how to deal with - as a "director" - the complex themes of institutional, service and product communication. The course allows you to acquire a methodology in the various phases of the project, in its realization and in the proposal for positions of designers (in professional studios, agencies, organizations), creative consultants for industrial or commercial companies, or - opening their own studio - To undertake a personal business journey.

Who is

The course is aimed at those who hold a high school diploma and students from Italian or foreign universities. A clear interest in the project's disciplines (visual, graphic, exhibit and digital design, lettering, photography and video), social sciences (anthropology, theories of communication and mass media, sociology and semiology) and in the visual arts culture (History of art and design). The participants are future designers of digital and analog communication, creative directors, brand experts.

A preliminary phase (First year) follows an intermediate study (Second year) and a completion path dedicated to the final-portfolio project (Third year). From the basics of Basic Design to Typographical Grammar, Graphic Layout Software to Packaging, Motion Graph to Interactive Design, students learn all aspects related to the visual project, combining techniques and technologies with their creative cultural background to operate Consciously in the complex scenarios of our time.
