Recognized with a degree of excellence, awarded by the Ministry of Education - MEC, the course forms the Textile Engineer, a professional who will be able to work at all stages of production and service delivery of a textile industry and clothing: from the choice of most appropriate raw materials, through the production processes, to quality control and marketing of the final product.
The aim of the course is to train engineers with abilities, skills and attitudes appropriate to the solution of problems associated with the products, processes and services, such as: design, develop and manage integrated systems of people, materials, equipment and information; Using up resources acquired from knowledge and skills in basic sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from these systems.
The student carries out practical activities in the laboratory, studying basic theoretical contents of Engineering (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) and specific content (fibers, spinning, flat Weaving, Knitting, Finishing, etc). Thus, the graduate is qualified to work in areas such as Project Management Textiles and Industrial production.
The differential graduation in Textile Engineering Faculty of SENAI CETIQT is his intense connection with companies and organizations of the textile production chain, cooking and fashion in Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. SENAI CETIQT is usual trainer of professional excellence for this sector and the course takes advantage of these traditional ties to the textiles and clothing for the professional practice of their students in order to assist in placing on the market in the generation of knowledge and the provision of services to that business area.
SENAI CETIQT has classrooms equipped with computer, projector, air conditioning and whiteboard; computer rooms with software such as MATLAB and AutoCad. There is also a library with study room for students.
The laboratories used in practical classes are:
- Wiring laboratories;
- Weaving Laboratory;
- Knitting laboratory;
- Finishing Lab.
The Textile Engineer playing field is broad, covering the main industrial sectors (Textile, Tailoring, Chemical, Automotive, Aeronautical, etc.), the segments of services, the field of research and education, with a view to developing materials, products and equipment, operations management and processes, controlling the manufacture and taking care of the environmental and economic impacts.
Classes start: February and August - Biannual Hours: Morning (7:20 a.m. - 12:00) / Night (18:00 - 22:30)
Values & How to Apply
The values of the fees are calculated based on the amount of credits routed in each half. Each student can be programmed and make the course the most convenient way for each.
The courses start every semester and access can be done through the ESMS or the entrance exam.
