Designing and designing rooms - the study course Spatial Concept and Design (BA) is interdisciplinary and conveys architectural and design-oriented competencies. The design, the conception and the planning of the room are in the center of consideration. Become a designer and room designer. This hands-on design course teaches both artistic and analytical methods based on manual and digital design processes. Individual support and promotion of personal competencies - in modern equipped workshops, you work on semester projects and projects for cultural institutions, design companies and cooperation partners.
Due to its interdisciplinary interpretation, the study program Spatial Concept and Design (BA) offers a variety of fields of activity in the areas of interior design, object and event design, communication and staging. Work in design, interior design and architecture offices and design public and private spaces in the areas of shops, exhibitions, trade fairs, hotels, living and office. In a design agency, you design and design in the disciplines of exhibition, trade fair and event planning as well as communication. In commerce and industry you design furniture, objects and products. The spatial staging includes film, set and stages (temporary buildings).
The following entry requirements must be met for a bachelor's degree at the Department of Design of Hochschule Fresenius:
- General university entrance qualification, or
- Fachhochschulreife, or
- Specialized university entrance qualification, or
- Master's certificate.

Anyone who has successfully completed a university degree or an accredited Bachelor's degree program at a state or state-recognized Berufsakademie without having a general university entrance qualification is also eligible for the qualification required for a general higher education entrance qualification.
Those who have completed the undergraduate studies in a Fachhochschulstudiengang, a graduated study program at a university or a comparable stage of study have a qualification corresponding to the subject-specific university entrance qualification.
