The Engineer Cycle enables the acquisition of the basics of one's future profession.
The Engineer Cycle takes place over 3 years of training, from bac +2 to bac +5. Fundamental lessons represent the basis of knowledge that an engineer must fully master. They will be useful to you throughout your professional life.
The 1st year of our training is common to all students. It allows you to acquire the necessary bases in scientific fields, such as mathematics and physics for engineers and disciplines oriented towards materials and mechanics. In addition, a 12-week internship allows you to discover a sector of activity, the organization of a company, by performing missions as a senior technician.
The specialization begins during the 2nd year of the Engineering Cycle. It allows you to discover the specific knowledge of your future professional activity. An application internship at the assistant engineer level of at least 12 weeks allows you to validate the year. This internship is to be done primarily internationally.
The 3rd year in a mechanical engineering school in France allows you to specialize among 3 courses in student status with a 6-month internship in a company or work-study.
Excluding internships, this specific and unique training represents a volume of around 600 hours, including courses, computer-assisted tutorials, lab labs, and integrated projects. The final year industrial project, carried out by a group of students, co-supervised by a tutor from the school and an industrialist, has a volume of approximately 300 hours per student. The 4th year internship and the 5th year engineering internship are carried out in a design office and/or calculation office.
Students choosing the Mechanics course at our mechanical engineering school in France also benefit from a second diploma. They obtained a Master's degree in Mechanics from Le Mans University.
