Procedure for international and national mobility

The Ostelea University School of Tourism has a Director of International Projects, who will be in charge of managing the agreements and providing orientation to the students of the places and of the subjects they can enroll.

The center will evaluate the mobility of the degree every three years, especially the international one, analyzing the academic and training aspects, the satisfaction of the student, the teaching staff and the academic or business counterpart, and evaluating all those aspects related to administrative management. (Before and after completion of the stay, special attention will be paid to the credit recognition mechanisms).

International internship mobility may be carried out by students from the third academic year. It should be borne in mind that the UdL regulations in this regard allow, if the academic nature of the practice requires it, academic practice during the summer or other vacation periods.

Likewise, for the management of all this operation that connects with the identity of the degree, the International Projects Directorate, coordinated with the PDI responsible for the practices of the center and in constant collaboration with the Office of International Relations of the University of Lleida, will regulate and it will manage all the agreements with foreign universities, companies and foreign institutions, and will be in charge of managing both the internships and the different mobility scholarship programs that in certain cases facilitate them if necessary.

The stipulated procedure for international mobility related to internships is as follows: the Ostelea University School of Tourism will publish annually at the beginning of the course the list of internship places available in foreign universities, companies and institutions.

This information will also incorporate the place, training objectives of the practice, the duration, the co-tutor responsible, the form of evaluation and all those technical aspects that are significant. In the event that this practice is carried out outside the school period, the student must contract supplementary insurance if necessary. Students must submit the following documentation to the Ostelea International Projects Directorate in the period that it will establish to designate the beneficiaries of the places:

  • Application form granted by Ostelea
  • Curriculum Vitae of the candidate
  • Motivation letter
  • 2 color passport photos
  • Photocopy of the passport

Once the candidate has submitted the corresponding documentation, it will be sent to the destination university or center and she will decide, according to her protocols, to grant one or another candidate within the period stipulated by the destination center.

In all these cases, there must be an Educational Agreement between Ostelea and the foreign university center, company or institution that offers a place to carry out an internship, which will follow the model established by the Office of Management of External Academic Practices of the UdL.

It is worth mentioning that some of these practices could be carried out under the auspices of the specific Erasmus program for practices, so the form of their organization could vary from this general model.
